What styles of mixing do you teach?
We teach techniques that are applicable to a large number of styles including rock, gospel, metal, pop, funk, and country. We teach using Pro Tools and focus on mixing, mastering, and editing.
How qualified is your mixing instructor?
Our mixing teacher has received education from high end learning institutions from Berklee College of Music to our own local University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He has recorded in studios across the country as both a musician and engineer and has worked on over 100 albums and EP’s.
What are mixing lessons like at Milwaukee Music Lessons?
Our mixing studio is fitted with top of the line digital audio workstation Pro Tools. We focus on the fundamentals of gainstaging, EQ, compression, reverb, and saturation. We also cover the science of sound such as: overtones, ambience, timbre, and impulse response. Our instructor teaches rock, metal, funk, pop, and many other styles of mixing. Students will be led through examples provided by the teacher but are also encouraged to bring their own songs if they need help mixing them.
Do I need to purchase any software or hardware to learn mixing?
The concepts taught here will work in any environment and do not require any specific hardware or software to practice them.

New students are entitled to a free trial lesson. After which a one-time registration fee of $25 is due (due only at time of registration).
