How qualified is your drum instructor?
Our drum teacher has received education from high end learning institutions from Berklee College of Music to our own local University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He has played across the US, played on many records, and brings over 10 years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons.
What are drum lessons like at Milwaukee Music Lessons?
Our drum lesson room is fitted with a custom made, top of the line electronic drum set. This set was converted from an acoustic drum set and fitted with electronic drum components to mimic the feel of a real drum set as closely as possible but without the incredibly loud noise. Our instructor teaches rock, metal, jazz, funk, blues, and many other styles of drumming and challenges every student with technical exercises specifically designed to improve their speed and comfort. Beginning students need only their drumsticks. All that’s needed for home is an inexpensive drum pad.
Do I need to purchase a drum kit to learn the instrument?
To practice at home, we recommend either an inexpensive drum pad or a drum set. If students need help selecting or purchasing an instrument, we’re more than happy to help you find just what you need. When here, students need simply to bring their drum sticks. We’ll have a kit provided here so you can just walk in and play!
