I have taken guitar lessons at Milwaukee music for two and half months. Alex is great teacher very patient and kind. I did not know much about guitar, Alex has a methodical process that does not overwhelm you. His guitar playing is an inspiration to me. In addition to the lessons, Alex and his wife send out a monthly newsletter that is a nice additional touch that shows their dedication to their students and their profession.

I learned so much within just the first few weeks of taking music lessons here! As a grown woman with little to no prior experience, I was a bit nervous going in—but Paul was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful every step of the way. Both Paul and Alex created such a welcoming and supportive environment, and I truly felt encouraged to grow. Terrific music school staffed by talented instructors. They offer a variety of music lessons including voice, drums and others, but I am familiar with their guitar instruction. My guitar teacher, Alex, does a great job at structuring his lesson plan for me to meet the specific goals I have for myself while emphasizing the new technique or skill that an assignment for that week gives me an opportunity to learn or improve. With Alex' help, I regularly feel that I am just a little better at playing the guitar this week than I was last week. And ultimately, that is what I am looking for.

I've been taking guitar lessons with Alex for about 10 months now, and he's a great teacher. I've had a number of teachers in the past, as I'm an adult and have been playing guitar since I was a kid. Not every guitarist makes a great teacher, or can teach for a variety of incoming skill levels. Alex has both the academic background and the real world experience to advise on intermediate-to-advanced topics, while having the patience and enthusiasm to help a kid get started. I've had my own struggles with playing guitar in the last year, including a hand injury, and we've found ways to work around that and continue despite periods where I've been unable to play. I think this speaks to his skill and his adaptability as a teacher, and I would recommend MKE Music Lessons for anyone that wanted to learn to play music.
