Student of the Month
As teachers, we try to provide structure, habits, and systems that make learning your instrument as easy as possible. We know that it’s not always about how much you practice but usually how often.
That’s why July’s student of the month goes to Malakai. He earned this award because he was the first student to win the 30 day practice streak award. He also completed the Summer Practice Challenge in the first 30 days too (something that we gave everyone 60 days to complete).
With effort like that, it’s no wonder he’s been making such amazing progress. Keep up the work!

Alex’s Cool Gear: The E-Bow
What if your guitar could sound like a violin, a cello, or even something from outer space? The E-Bow is a small electronic gadget that makes this possible. Instead of using a pick, you hold it over one guitar string and let the E-Bow do the work.
The E-Bow uses a magnetic field to keep the string moving. This allows one note to ring for an incredibly long time without fading away. You can slide between notes, change the volume, and create smooth sounds that are very different from normal guitar playing.
Kids may enjoy the E-Bow because it makes the guitar feel like a whole new instrument. Adults can use it to add soft background sounds, dramatic melodies, or special effects to a song. It is also a fun way to experiment without needing to learn a completely new instrument.
The E-Bow will not replace regular picking, chords, or practice. However, it can inspire new musical ideas and remind us that the guitar has many sounds waiting to be discovered. Sometimes one small gadget is all it takes to make practicing feel exciting again.
