What Your $20 Recital Fee Includes
- Beautiful venue rental so students feel like real performers (great lighting, sound, seating)
- Professional photos of your child on stage, plus a group photo
- Keepsake milestone button to celebrate their achievement
- Snacks and drinks for students and families at the post‑recital reception
- Extra teacher prep & staff support to keep the event running smoothly and on time
The recital fee simply helps us cover these costs so we can keep regular lesson tuition focused on weekly instruction, not occasional events.

FAQ
Why is there a recital fee this time?
Venue rental, professional photos, snacks, and extra staff time add up quickly. Rather than raise everyone’s monthly tuition, we keep a small, optional recital fee so only families who participate share those costs. The entire fee goes back into making recital day special for the students.
What if my child is too nervous or makes a mistake?
Almost every student is nervous their first time. That’s normal. We celebrate effort and courage. Teachers and the audience are there to cheer them on, not judge them. If they stumble, we simply keep going and clap even louder.
What if we have a schedule conflict?
Contact us as early as possible. We may be able to transfer you to another time that works for you.
If an alternative time can not be arranged, we'll hold your recital fee for the next performance.
Can adults perform too?
We are holding a separate time just for adults. Please visit mkelessons.com/jam to see details there.
Is the recital required?
No, but we strongly recommend it. Students who perform tend to stick with music longer and gain a huge boost in confidence.
Spots are limited for each recital time. Once we fill a time block, we’ll close registration for that session. Save your child’s spot below.
